- Florida Senate Bill 1954 (2021 Legislative Session update) – Statewide Flooding and Sea Level Rise Resilience; Establishing the Resilient Florida Grant Program within the Department of Environmental Protection; requiring the department to complete a comprehensive statewide flood vulnerability and sea level rise data set and assessment by specified dates; requiring the department to develop an annual Statewide Flooding and Sea Level Rise Resilience Plan and submit the plan to the Governor and Legislature by a specified date; requiring the department to implement a scoring system for assessing projects eligible for inclusion in the plan. - MIAMI HERALD – Pull over, Porsche Design Tower. Sunny Isles Beach is getting another auto-branded condo behemoth — and you can park your car inside your home in this one, too. Bentley Residences, the first Bentley-branded residential tower in the world, will spread 200 residences over 60 stories — all with in-unit parking spaces for up to four cars and an automobile elevator. Each unit will also have its own pool and sauna. - NORTH PORT — The North Port City Commission started a process on Tuesday night that would raise impact fees on new construction to 100% of the level recommended by a study in place until 2011.
